Charlotte, NC – First community event in 2024, offering recycling services to Charlotte, NC and surrounding neighborhoods.
This March, The Premier Team focused on giving back to our community. Spring is the time to go through old things and declutter your space. On March 9th, 2024 we hosted Recycle and Rescue, a spinoff on Shred and Serve, our annual recycling event held in previous years.
Our mission for this event was to provide recycling services for items that are more difficult to dispose of. Shred America was on-site to securely shred old documents. We also collected electronics to donate to Zemko, as well as paint cans.
For the ‘rescue’ portion of Recycle and Rescue, we were thrilled to have Richardson Rescue and Cornelius Animal Shelter as sponsors of this event. We asked that people bring pet supplies or monetary donations in return for using our recycling services. We loved having members of our community come out for this event, even some four legged friends!
This event was offered at 3 locations: Ed’s Tavern in Cornelius, NC, DB’s Tavern in Charlotte, NC, and The Premier Team RE/MAX Executive Office in Indian Land, SC. We wanted to reach as many people in the Charlotte Metro community to offer convenience and expand our name.
What were the results?
- Cornelius, NC collected 28 paint cans and 2,000 lbs of documents
- Charlotte, NC collected 100 paint cans and 4,400 lbs of documents
- Indian Land, SC collected 200 paint cans and 5,800 lbs of documents
Combined for all locations, we collected 328 paint cans, 12,200 lbs of documents, and 3 pallets of electronics! Regarding donations for shelters, we collected 250+ pet toys, 67 bags of food, 52 boxes of treats, many blankets, towels, beds, paper towels, & more!
We cannot thank you enough if you were able to stop by! We can confidently say that our first community event in 2024 was a success due to your continued support. We also want to give our appreciation to our sponsors: Carolina’s Premier Inspections, TowneBank Mortgage, Lutzel Broadway Attorneys at Law, Ed’s Tavern, DB’s Tavern, Richardson Rescue, and Cornelius Animal Shelter.
We look forward to more events this year, and hope to see you at the next Recycle and Rescue event!
