At the end of March, we held our annual Recycle & Rescue event as a way to give back to the Charlotte Metro community. Our goal was to help provide spring cleaning services for items that are more difficult to dispose of. We offered onsite document shredding with ProShred and collected electronics for recycling with Zemko. In return for these services, we asked everyone to bring pet supplies to donate to CMPD Animal Care & Control, York County Animal Shelter, and Piedmont Animal Rescue.
So, what were the results? Across our three event locations, we had:
- 9 dogs adopted and tons of donations, including pet food, treats, blankets, & more!
- 37,000 lbs of paper shredded!
- 4 pallets of electronics recycled!
